“You’re going to be a grandparent!” is one of those pinchable moments and often the best news on the planet.  Be it the first or the eighth, the love for each new arrival is unique and ever expanding. “If I had known how wonderful it would be to have grandchildren, I’d have had them first,” a newly minted grandmother wisely proclaimed.

 

But along with the joys of grandparenting come the inevitable complications of our new and changing roles.  Parents and grandparents may not always be in sync and our beliefs and experiences sometimes collide.  We want to respect and be helpful to the new parents but carve out our own role as well.

Searching for all the latest info and advice on grandparenting can be overwhelming. It’s been decades since our kids were little, and many of the rules, recommendations and expectations have changed.  At The Grand’s Club, you’ll find experts, groups, discussions, and recommended links for just about anything grandparent related.

 

Grandparents, and certain special people we call the Greats (aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, friends) play an enormous role in the life of a child.  We'll feature those Grand Trailblazers who will share their experiences, words of wisdom,  as well as their grandest moments.
